You picked a price. Maybe you copied a similar listing. Maybe you guessed. Now the orders come in, but the money doesn't seem to add up.

Price It Right is a short video course that walks you through one product, step by step. By the end, you'll have a written price that covers your materials, shipping and platform fees, pays you for your time, and leaves the margin you chose.

What it looks like (example numbers)

The course follows one example the whole way through: a handmade candle selling for $25 on Etsy. It uses $6 of materials, $4.50 of shipping and packaging, and 20 minutes of work. We use an example rate of $15 an hour.

• Floor price (the lowest price that still covers everything, including your time): $17.62
• Target price (with an example 30% margin): $26.36
• Suggested price (rounded up): $27

These are example numbers only. Your costs, time, fees and margin will be different, and the course shows you how to work out your own.

The 7 lessons

0. Welcome (0:44). Pick one product to price.
1. The four numbers behind every price (2:43). Materials, fees, shipping and packaging, and time.
2. Platform fees, worked out exactly (3:53). What Etsy, eBay, TikTok Shop and Shopify take, turned from a guess into a number.
3. Pay yourself for your time (4:00). Put a price on your time and add it to your costs.
4. Your price floor and your target price (4:24). The lowest price you should go, and the price you're aiming for.
5. Check the market without racing to the bottom (4:22). See where your price fits, and try good/better/best.
6. Raise your prices (and keep your buyers) (4:19). Change your price fairly, plus a 15-minute monthly price check.

About 24 minutes in total. Short enough to finish in one sitting, and each lesson ends with one small task.

The videos are unlisted, so only people with the link can see them. Watch on your phone, tablet or computer. This is a digital product. Nothing will be shipped.

Questions

Is the voice real?
No. The lessons are narrated with an AI voice, and the videos are slides and screen walkthroughs. We checked every script and every number before recording.

Does it work for Etsy, eBay, TikTok Shop and Shopify?
Yes. The method works for anything you make or sell. Lesson 2 compares the default fees on Etsy, eBay, TikTok Shop and Shopify, and you can add your own rates for other platforms. Fee rates are defaults as of 2026. Platforms change them, so always check your platform's fee page.

Do I need Side Hustle HQ or any other spreadsheet?
No. Everything you need is included: the videos, the workbook, the fee calculator spreadsheet and the web calculator. Side Hustle HQ is a separate product and is completely optional.

I don't sell candles. Will this still help?
Yes. The candle is just the example. The same four numbers apply to prints, jewelry, stickers, clothing, resale items and more. You'll use your own product from Lesson 0 on.

Can I try it first?
Yes. Lesson 1 is free to watch. You can also try the free price calculator, which shows your floor price (the lowest price that covers everything). The course calculator adds the target price, suggested price and the rest.

Will this tell me the "right" margin?
No. There's no single right margin. The course uses 30% as an example and shows you how to pick your own.
